IARSIC hosts 1st International Conference ComSymbol on Communication of the symbolic and the symbolic of communication in the modern and postmodern societies, November 8-9, 2012

  IARSIC in partnership with the Technosciences Institute for Information and Communication (ITIC ) Paul Valéry University of Montpellier 3, and Essachess held at the University Centre Du Guesclin Béziers the 1^st International Conference ComSymbol on Communication of the symbolic and the symbolic of communication in the modern and postmodern societies, November 8-9, 2012.

An unprecedented event with the strong support of the CABM and the City Hall of Béziers.

Over seventy scholars and researchers from 12 countries were welcomed at the University Centre du Guesclin by the director, Professor Michel Bourret , and Professor Stefan Bratosin, the director of the IARSIC.

City Hall of Béziers offered a cocktail in honor of the participants. On this occasion the Senator-Mayor Raymond Couderc has renewed its support for development projects in higher education and research in Beziers, including the creation of new university courses for local and national audiences, but also internationally.

At the plenary session, the President of the Paul Valéry University, Professor Anne Fraisse, have been expressed her attention to all approaches that contributes to scientific, educational and cultural quality of the University Centre of Beziers. Michel Gelly, Councillor, Professor Chantal Charnet, Director of ITIC and Professor Bonu Bruno, Director of UMR Praxiling, stressed the importance of this event both in terms of research and education. Justin Chareyre, Vice President of the Illiade Student Association, highlighted the importance of this event for students of Béziers.
